Privacy policy

This policy covers the website at ivenoidea.app, run by Project Group 21 of Lahore, Pakistan. It describes what the site actually does today, and we will change it when the site changes rather than writing it to cover things we might do later.

The short version. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Your progress and your notes are saved in your own browser and never sent to us. The only personal data that reaches anyone is the ordinary server record of your request, and your IP address going to Google’s font servers.

What is stored in your browser

The site uses your browser’s local storage — not cookies — to remember your own use of it. This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no way to read it.

Where you got to in each lesson and whether you finished it, so the site can offer to resume (ini.progress.*).
Notes you write on a lesson page or on your own notepad, including the lesson timestamp at which you wrote each one (ini.notes.*).
The subjects on your shelf (ini.mySubjects).
Preferences, such as whether subtitles are on (ini.pref.*).

Clearing your browser’s site data for ivenoidea.app deletes all of it permanently. Because it lives only on that device, it does not follow you to another browser or another computer.

What our host records

The site is served as static files by Google Firebase Hosting. Like any web server, it records ordinary request information — IP address, time, the file requested, browser user-agent — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. We use this only in aggregate to keep the site running; we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we have added no analytics of our own.

Third parties

Google Firebase Hosting serves the site, and processes request data as described above.
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) supplies the typefaces. Your browser requests those files directly, so Google receives your IP address and user-agent as part of that request. No other third party receives anything.

There is no advertising network, no analytics provider and no social embedding.

The AI tutor

The lessons on this website are pre-recorded and play entirely in your browser: watching one sends nothing to any AI service. The interruption feature — stopping a lesson to ask a question — is present in the interface but not connected on this site, so nothing you type is transmitted anywhere.

When we do switch it on, a question you ask will be sent to a language-model provider in order to answer it, and we will update this policy to name that provider and say what is sent before that happens.

Children

The lessons are aimed at secondary-school and university students, so some of our readers are under 18. We ask for no personal information at all, and there is nothing to sign up for, so we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone of any age. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

Your rights

Data protection law in many places — including the GDPR — gives you the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. In practice we hold almost nothing: if you have emailed us, we hold that email and will delete it on request. The data the site stores about your learning is on your own device and under your own control at all times.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be announced on the site.
